Premiere Labradors started in 1990 with the purchase of a black female
sired by Ch Alvgardens Cross the Ocean.
"Sam".....Can.Ch.Kando's Cosmic Covergirl TDI
was going to be my husband's hunting dog....a "real dog" as he put it.

At that time we had a few retired Afghan Hounds and thought a Labrador would be a good choice for a second breed. I had started showing Afghans in 1975, but was no longer active in the conformation ring.
Sam was very different from the Afghansand I really enjoyed her desire to please and happy-go-lucky personality.

She ended up with her Canadian conformation championship and her Therapy Dog certification.
    Through the years we have had some wonderful Labradors come into our lives.
Not all of them have been show dogs or used in our breeding program,
but all have left an impact and are dearly missed.

    In 2005 we relocated from Belgrade, Maine, to a home in Sidney with 30 acres.
Our goal is to produce a Labrador that is competitive in the conformation ring, yet still possesses the classic temperament and intelligence characteristic of the breed and the desire to hunt for which they were bred.

We are proud to have bred service dogs for several organizations and conformation,
obedience and hunting titled dogs.  All puppies are sold on the AKC Limited Registration.

We do not sell our dogs for breeding and any puppies which we feel have
show potential are kept or co-owned by us.
